In 1994, two well-known independent appraisal practices headed by Richard J. Duncan and John H. Brown merged to form Duncan & Brown. Rick Duncan's practice had primarily focused on residential appraising for over 15 years, and John Brown had specialized in commercial property appraisal for nearly 20 years. In 2006, John Brown left the practice to pursue a new career in
commercial real estate brokerage with two well-known brokers, Alan Evans and Jeff Elder, creating
the firm Evans, Elder & Brown. Senior associates Corey S. Dingman and Jasen D. Hansen
assumed John Brown's ownership position in the firm, while John remains an important presence
at Duncan & Brown, working as of counsel on eminent domain and special-purpose assignments.

In addition to the three partners, five staff appraisers specialize in appraisals of all property types
and have a combined experience of over 120 years of appraising. The synergy and expertise of
the Duncan & Brown team make it a premier commercial, high-end residential and special-use
real property appraisal firm in Oregon.

As a conscientious corporate member of the Eugene/Springfield community, Duncan & Brown participates in area events and civic organizations, demonstrating the firm's commitment to
community leadership and improvement through active service.
